Troop 59 will hold it’s first planning meeting of the new Scout year at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, September 13, at the First Presbyterian Church.
This will be the annual meeting for determining outdoor activities and troop meeting agendas throughout the entire year.

On May 17, scouts from Troop 59 once again gathered to honor veterans of United States Armed Forces with the placement of the US flag at the gravesites of those who have been laid to rest at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
As our country prepares to celebrate the national Memorial Day holiday on May 29, the scouts solemnly remembered the service given by these brave men and women at nearly 300 graves.
This Wednesday, the 17th, we will all be meeting at the St. Vincent de Paul cemetery at 7:00 pm to put flags on the graves for memorial day.
As Long Hill Township schools are on break this week, there will not be a Troop meeting this Wednesday, April 12th. Our next meeting will be held on April 19th.
On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, Troop 59 will be holding its Fall Court of Honor. This Court of Honor celebrates the achievements of the troop, including rank advancements and earned merit badges, since this past June. All scouts, family members and friends are invited to attend. Scouts will wear full Class A uniforms, including sashes and pins.
The Court of Honor will start at 7:30 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Congratulations to Nicholas Haines, upon earning Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scout program.
During a Court of Honor held on August 27 at the First Presbyterian Church, Nick was presented with his Eagle Scout badge and pin, and was celebrated by members his family, friends, and fellow Troop 59 scouts and leaders.
