Farewell Troop 59, 1937 – 2022

After 85 years, BSA Troop 59 is no longer chartered as a BSA Scout troop. Due to ever declining registrations, despite the efforts of troop leadership to expand its roster, we are unable to sustain the unit any longer.

Thank you to all of our youth members over the years; we hope that you have fond memories of your time in Troop 59, and the the life and leadership skills that you learned will carry you forward in life.

Thank you to all of the adult leaders, who have served to deliver the BSA scout program and to develop Troop 59’s boys to men, who will not only remember but live by the Scout Oath and Law.

Thank you to the First Presbyterian Church, and St. Vincent de Paul Church, our chartering organizations over the past 85 years, for your guidance and allowing Troop 59 to be part of your ministry.

Lastly, thank you to our Long Hill Township community, we hope that we have served you well, and that you will continue to support scouting and the benefits that it offers.

Yours in Scouting,

Troop 59
