Fall Court of Honor – September 28, 2016

On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, Troop 59 will be holding its Fall Court of Honor.  This Court of Honor celebrates the achievements of the troop, including rank advancements and earned merit badges, since this past June. All scouts, family members and friends are invited to attend.  Scouts will wear full Class A uniforms, including sashes and pins.

The Court of Honor will start at 7:30 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church.  Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Ian St. Clair’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Ian St. Clair’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on Saturday, November 30th at 4:00 PM.  Noteworthy guests included US Congressman Leonard Lance; Guy Piserchia, the Mayor of Long Hill Township; John Mozer, representing the Knights of Columbus; Reverend Tom Peters, representing the First Presbyterian Church of Stirling, New Jersey; and District Executive Charlean Stimpson.

Besides the 12 required merit badges for Eagle, Ian’s  electives were safety, finger printing, art, mammal study, rifle shooting, oceanography, climbing, small boat sailing, and forestry.  His Eagle Scout Project consisted of building feral cat shelters for St. Hubert’s with 77.3 hours dedicated by volunteers to the project.  The St. Clair family and Troop 59 sponsored the reception that followed.

Kyle Hall’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Kyle Hall’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM.  Noteworthy guests included US Congressman Leonard Lance; Rev. A. Richard Carton, pastor of Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church; Joseph Bruno, Mayor of Berkeley Heights; John Mozer, representing the Knights of Columbus; Reverend Tom Peters, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Stirling, New Jersey; District Advancement Chairman Bill Schulz and District Executive Charlean Stimpson.

Besides the 12 required merit badges for Eagle, Kyle’s  electives were finger printing, rifle shooting, oceanography, fire safety, reading, public speaking, pioneering, climbing, and small boat sailing.  His Eagle Scout Project consisted of installing two paver sidewalks and mulch beds at Saint Vincent de Paul School with a total of 145.3 service hours from all of the volunteers.  The Hall family and Troop 59 sponsored the reception that followed.
